There are two main production processes, the first one uses petroleum and chlorine gas as raw materials, which we call the ethylene method, and the second uses coal and raw salt as raw materials, which we call the calcium carbide method. The commonality of the two processes is that both will produce vinyl chloride monomer (VCM), and then polymerize to form polyvinyl chloride (PVC)

3. Application
